Goldi Barac
Goldi Barac has made a difference in the lives of countless teens, young adults, adults, parents and families.
Goldi is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto.
Trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, Goldi collaborates with you to determine the best approach to suit your needs.
Goldi has extensive experience supporting teens, young adults, adults, parents and families through a myriad of issues including anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, lack of confidence, depression, grief, bullying, relationship difficulties, family conflicts, and parenting. She is of great benefit to those undergoing life transitions such as separation and divorce, remarriage, blending families, adoption, moving, new jobs, new schools, living with illness, death of a loved one, pregnancy and life with a new baby.
An expert in Ontario’s educational system, Goldi was a highly sought out, award winning school counsellor for over 25 years, providing personal, educational and career counselling to struggling clients in both adult and teen high schools.
Passionate to reach out to even more people, Goldi has worked as a therapist for Family and Credit Counselling Services of York Region, using her empathetic, client centred approach to assist individuals, couples and families.
Goldi is a member in good standing with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario, the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, the Ontario College of Teachers and the Ontario School Counsellors’ Association. With a personal interest in managing grief and bereavement, she serves on the Professional Advisory Committee of Bereaved Families of York Region.
